Overview

Pikey Peak (also spelled Pekey) sits at 4,065 m (≈13,336 ft) and is a short, spectacular viewpoint in the lower Solukhumbu (Everest) region offering a rare panorama that can include Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Kanchenjunga and many other major ranges. The trek is popular because it’s accessible, offers outstanding sunrise views, cultural Sherpa villages and monasteries, and can be tailored to 4–10 day schedules depending on clients’ time and fitness.

Why Pikey Peak: beginner-friendly, high visual reward for relatively little time, avoids crowded EBC trails, culturally rich villages and monasteries.

Best time to Trek: main seasons are autumn (Sept–Nov) and spring (Mar–May) for clear skies and stable weather; monsoon (Jun–Aug) is not recommended.

Difficulty & fitness: easy–moderate. Daily walks typically 4–7 hours with the highest point ~4,065 m — recommend moderate fitness and one acclimatization/rest day on longer options. Mild risk of altitude symptoms above ~2,500–3,000 m; guide-led pacing mitigates risk.
